Privacy

Aleph is a small, invite-only reading library. This page explains what it does with your data.

What we collect

When you sign in with Amazon, Aleph receives your name, email address and Amazon account ID. It stores those, plus whatever you add yourself: books, reading progress, notes, quotes, questions and imported Goodreads or Kindle files.

How it's used

Only to run your library. Your data is never sold, shared or used for advertising, and only you can see your library. Book titles and ISBNs are looked up on Open Library and Google Books to fetch covers and descriptions.

Where it's stored

On Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database). A session cookie keeps you signed in. There are no tracking or analytics cookies.

Deleting your data

You can remove books at any time. To delete your whole account and everything in it, contact the person who invited you.
